In 1985 Radka was eight years old, her family fled Communist Czechoslovakia to embark on a new life in America. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, Radka returned to her home country and rediscovered the rich heritage she once knew. Czech's renowned glassware was a piece of her homeland she was able to bring back home to the sates. As a hobby, Radka began making creations from her findings in Europe. Eventually, she quit her life in the corporate world, moved to sunny California, and embarked on a journey as an artist. Radka's unique, handmade jewelry began with hobby designs for women who appreciated the natural color and shine of exquisite glass. She evolved into including vintage pieces found in the smallest corners of the Czech Republic. Radka Designs now has several collections including: European Vintage Collection, Hand-Hammered Semi-Precious Stones Collection, Drop Collection, Radka's Rings Collection and the Simply Hearts Collection. Radka continues to designs pieces that reflect on the simple beauty of the past and present.
